****Please note: it's very difficult to complete on a phone - please complete it on a laptop or PC.
The documents you will need are:
1. A copy of the student's last report card or transcript.
2. A copy of the student's ID (Driver's License, Birth Certificate, BCID, Status Card, Passport, or Landed Immigrant Papers). Please note, we cannot accept the BC Services Card as ID as per the Ministry.
3. Two Proof of BC Residency ("POR") with the date, provider name, parent or adult name, student address. For students who are not yet 19 years old, we require this in the name of the parent/guardian. For student 19 and older, we require these in your name. Below is a list of the PORs we can accept:
- ownership of dwelling or long-term lease or rental of dwelling
- one utility bill or home insurance bill from residence of spouse, children and other dependent family members in the dwelling (must show name, address and date of bill). We can accept two if they are from different vendors.
- legal documents indicating British Columbia residence
- provincial driver’s license (if under the age of 19 yrs., this document MUST be in the name of parent/guardian, showing the address at which the student resides and expiry date.)
- employment within the community (pay stub showing a minimum of 20 hours a week)
- parent or guardian filing income tax returns as a BC resident
- provincial registration of automobile (ICBC) – must show expiry date
- Canadian bank account statement or credit card statement
- subscriptions for life or health insurance, such as MSP coverage
4. Student Consent forms: these are in the application, and you click the form name to open them. Save them on your computer, then upload to the application
